Wow, for a 22', it looks like it has a large cockpit area. That engine cover doesn't look big enough for a 525. Nice use of space.

Great looking boat, I saw it in person down at Eliminator and the colors are sick along with the metal flake!!! Pic's don't do it justice.
Met the new owner too, nice guy but a little crazy runs from Laughlin all the way to the Parker Damn and back just for fun... :crossx: :D

He ran with us down to Steamboat last weekend. That thing accelerates like a jack rabbit. It's a total sleeper also with the exhaust exiting under the water line.
Nice boat for sure.

AWESOME boat! ELIM hit a homerun with this boat.
Made the interior deeper, boat deeper and the top taller.
The boat accelerates very hard and runs good in some ruff water. very nice interior lay out(NOT SURE IF IT WAS STOCK)....
also has a verty nice top end......

Congrats to the team at Eliminator. Leading the way in high performance cats on the west coast once agian. That is really cool for a 22'. That boat would run hard with only 650-700hp. Job well done, looks like a fun boat.

Wow, great lookin boat! What a departure from the previous 22'. From the pictures it looks close in size to it's bigger brother (25'). Anyone heard what the price tag is on this thing yet? Bet it would run pretty hard even with the HO package.

I know of a Brummett 21 with a NARLEY TTurbo for sale. It was that one a while back in Hot boat. I think blues on white. Carson says it needs some clean up. I asked what, he says the paint went on a bit thick back under the motor and it's cracked in a small area. I told him to get over it, fricken anal freak.
I'm thinking the 22 Daytona with the 700 merc package. Can you say by by to that green and orange painted garden snake powered 32 DCB . :D

It's really good to see the response on Elminators new boat. When Bob and I talked a year ago about this project I never thought it could be as radical of a change from the old hull as it is. The ride is similar to that of a 25 or 26. I chose to build this with a 525 rather than a custom built "POOF" motor because I run far too many hours. On the first day out we ran 230 miles in 6 hours. The boat handled amazing! We encountered standard Havasu 2 foot chop, Thunderstorm wind swells, rain, and lots of debri coming down the river from flash floods. This boat is a homerun! Pound for Pound.... More fun than my Twin and alot easier to put away. Twin 300 xs will be alot of fun. :)

Swung by the factory yesterday to see one that just came out of the mold. Definitely a great design! A tad bit more than I would like to spend on a 22' boat but it is very tempting after seeing one in person. Anybody see the builders coming back to reality on pricing in the future?

Nice to see a new deeper smaller cat by eliminator. In my mind the market needed a smaller cat with the bigger boat ride and feel,......comaparable to their old style 23 daytona which had that bigger boat ride and ran good with power,... but obviously the New 22 sounds more eff based on the numbers . Looks like Eliminator has hit another homerun. (IMO)

Its good to see this kind of response on a small boat it is really a drivers boat. The water level was really low on Saturday a small boat makes it alot easier, after all you only need 12 to 18 inches of water. We saw a 95 with 70 gallons and 2 people , Chris ask Jason how it ran the conditions were very rough an windy. We logged 165 miles to much fun , I will work on Steve 14 hrs so far NO complaints . I Think a 496HO should run in the mid 80 mph range . :)

I tryed real real real hard to buy that boat and know for a fact that if you wrote a check that started with an 8 you would have to write out another before you picked it up, hell' there's close to ten grand in sells tax alone,
Iliked the way the seats set on the floor, made you fell like you were in a bigger boat, and the cup holders were holes in the floor, like putt'n greens,
It's the corvette of boats, kinda like the 32 Ford high boy roadster, or a 34 coupe

the one at the boat show was over loaded, full hydralic steering, sportmaster dr. custom interior, dana manifolds, plus more.
it's a great boat just overbuilt for a 22' a 525 is a dealer cost of 22k over the 496 ho. so if you could have bought that boat for 95k w/ a 525, 95-22 is 73 and once again, I tryed to hand them more than that and they said no, they even called me back after the show and said NO!
I think the boat ran 86 at dana???

Yes on full hydraulic steering .With the added 6" in the tunnel it eats up the chop, it acts like a 25. It is very stable at all speeds and takes a nice set near a 100, there is NO chime. Like most cats there is a small hop that you drive through around 70. It will be out on the river through Havasu most weekends starting this Sat. If yo see me flag me down and you can see for yourself.

Ya Brian I have the fix for the prop I am going to make new trim tabs about 4" longer this should take care of the slow planing issue. The RPM on top with the 32 is perfect@ 5200. By the way logged 320 miles between the 2 boats in 2 days. And just think the east coast is freezing :D :D

Here is a sweet one at the TX dealer with a 300 Promax. 89k... Sooo nice. I really like this boat. If there is a way I can swing it at the end of the season, I will be looking at this thing.

I look at this stupid thread once a day. I am really interested in this boat. We can still fit it in the garage, and I think it will ride much better than all the other 22 cats out there.
I would love to have the 525, but I think that will be out of our price range. Im sure this thing will move with a 496 Ho in it. Maybe even an OB.
I just returned from Bully`s shop/showroom it was great.I can tell you the only thing more incredible than the 28 and 22 is than Bully. This guy is the true exmple of class and a gentleman,he gave me free access to looking at the boats and answered all questions. There are many on the board that could take a huge lesson from this man.Beaver this boat is really cool and so different it is good.:)

I think it depends on many factors ,I pay a very fair price But I have been writing Daytonas with the same agent for over 15 years.

I really like it also, but I can't get my head around 90k for a 22' boat. Who makes ups these prices? They have 26DCB with 500 for less then that (used) that is.

Time to let the cat out of the bag.
When the first 22 was built I wanted to go with a package that would give me a feel for the boat with a power package that I was familar with .
Well with almost 70 Hrs. on the boat now I am ready for the next step .
Today I ordered my new 22 Daytona with Twin 300 xs power . Time to let this amazing hull get some more air under it and see what it can do. In about 6-8 weeks we will know. "Little Bully":D:D

Nothing in a tunnel turns like a Stoker I owned a 93 with a V8 Evinrude. How ever in the Rough the Daytona is a much bigger boat with a great ride , at the high speeds I think the wider ride of the Daytona is another big plus for stabilty. Twin 300s will truely test this hull.

Have you ever driven or ridden in a Stoker 224? I would like to know how it does in comparison to the Daytona. I know that setup properly, the 224 ran 102mph with a 500efi & shorty lower unit. It also takes big water much better than the 22. I have yet to ride in the new 22 Daytona so I am curious. I know that Jackpunx on the boards has a 224 that runs in the 140's. I have been in the boat at 130+ and it felt rock solid. I drove it to about 120 and did just fine. I can't wait to see a 22 Daytona with big power. Should be interesting/fun. :)

Yes I Know the 224 vey well I put 200 hrs on a 93 and sold it in 96 it only had a 300 V8 Ob on it so it did not go past 92mph . As far as high speed I would much rather have the deep tunnels under me, I know when I ran any of my larger Daytonas they take a set at a certain speed and just GO. I'm sure this will be very similar, I am looking forward to felling the speed in a smaller boat again, you lose it in a bigger boat. Plus you have to drive it not just smash everything in your path.:D

The 1993 Stoker was a 22ft not a 224.The 224 was retooled in 2000.I had a 2001 22ft Eliminator daytona I/O.Put about 300 hours on it.I now have a 2005 Stoker 224 with I/O power. In my opinion the Stoker 224 handles the rough water alot better then my Eliminator 22ft daytona did.HP to HP the Stoker 224 is definatly faster then my Daytona was.
I realize your new Daytona may be a better overall boat from my previouse daytona.
I do know my 2005 Stoker 224 I/O rides better then my cousins 1992 Stoker 22 O/B
Of course lets not forget I/O to O/B is a big defference in weight wich will definatly change the ride quality.

Ive got a buddy with a newer 224, (05 or 06). His neighbor has a Daytona. I have been in the Stoker quite a few times, what a ride, great speed and it was excellent in the rough water. His neighbor claimed the ride was better in the Stoker, ride excluded, I think the quality of the Stoker was above the Daytona.
Dont know the price difference though.
Ive noticed the lack of used Stokers for sale, maybe in line with the number of new ones sold???

I know Al retooled the deck to fit the IO the bottom is still unchanged . They are both great boats and for those who don't know the hulls come out of Eliminator for both. My brother has an 87 20 Stoker that is almost done getting its new power a 300xs, should also be very fun . He knows we are having some fun when my twin is done. Its all good as long as your spinning the hr. meter.:)

The bottom itself is un changed, but it feels like a completely different boat. The 224 definitely feels much bigger than the 22 and with the extra weight to it, I believe that it handles better. :) I have driven both and both are awesome boats, but I like the feeling of a 224 better.
Agreed that both boats come from Eliminator and I know that Al Stoker has the utmost respect for Bob Leach.
I would be very careful if I was your brother. There is a reason why Al will not put a 300 on a 20' boat. It is too much for that small of a boat. He put a single 300 on a 22 and it exceeded anyone's expectations of what it would do. It is going to be scarry driving or riding in that boat. Please be careful!!! :)
