Sure but so is drunk driving and it's not like being illegal stops anyone from doing that.

Only if you get caught blowing it. My bud drives a Peterbilt for a living and has a set. He said the "man" (DOT) asked him if he had one.. He said, "Yes.". The "man" asked him if he would blow it for him, and my bud said NO!!!! If he would have, the "man" would be able to confiscate it.
The Nathan P3 air chime is what I am going to put on mine... for those moments when a cell phone user is talking on his phone while sitting through a green light!

The Nathan P3 seems to be the smaller of the bunch as well. Should be easier to conceal.

Then you would need a concealed horn permit. :rollside:

Hell ya! I love mine...the absolute best is when some little thug walks across the front of my car in a crosswalk and feels the need to stare at me
Scare them halfway into the intersection

I had a set of train horns on a Toyota Tacoma that I used to have. They were fuggin awesome. I took the spare tire out from under the bed and bolted the horn under there. I had a semi truck air brake tank in the tool box on the back of the truck, and a air compressor under the hood to feed the tank with. I also had an air hose coming off of it to fill up tires with.
It was loud as hell, it didnt matter what way they point they are still loud. I am certain I made 5 or 6 people shit their pants. Made the guy at the gas station drop the pole that he was using to change the price on the board. All in all I had about $450 in the whole thing, but it was worth it

my trumpets are directly under the driver's door. tank is on the passenger side and the line runs forward, accross the truck right under the motor and over to the drivers side where the trumpets are at. Let me know if you want to see some pics and I will post them tomorrow. I also have my button for the horn located in the floor right in front of where I rest my left foot. sometimes hit it accidentally, but it feels great to stomp on the floor and have the horn blare.

I have mine facing back. Its the only place I could do it without getting all custom. They are mounted right behind the transfer case, before the gas tank, next to the drive shaft. If you want a pic, let me know.

train horns are waaaaaaay illegal....... I have a new Nathan P-5 set I bought
on ebay a few years ago. they typicaly sell for anywhere between 400-900
bucks. I want to put them on my jeep when it;s done... and mainly for use
out in the woods, not in town.
even with using a 3/8 rubber line, thru a rubber-tipped non-safety air blow
gun at 100PSI, they're soo loud you gotta cover your ears anywhere within
like 30 feet or else it HURTS.
--these are ALOT louder than truck air horns.

IMO those things are anoying. They idiots out in Glamis that go around blowing those are gunna get into some sh1t one day when they piss the wrong person off. A guy in a black ford had those in Glamis 2 years ago and had people in the loop throwing things at him and shooting fireworks at the guys rtuck trying to get him to go away.

Train horns are a redneck thing, we have been putting them on our trucks for many years now, My buddy has a set on his truck and was coming down the driveway( 2600 ft long ) and was blowing his horn all the way, I was sleeping and could not see why this train was getting closer, I have no
tracks around me.
