Why would an AZ GAme & Fish officer [Archive]

come to our house?
Our neighbor told us that an AZ G & F officer came to our house yesterday and waited for 20 minutes to see if anyone came home. He asked our neighbor if he had the correct address, but didnt say what it was about. Isnt that kinda strange?

Doesn't the Az F&G dept do all the boat registration and tax stuff? Maybe looking for proof of actual Az residence, or evaluation about property tax for the boat? Just a wild guess, unless you have some spotted owl meat, or endangered trout in your freezer............MP

we dont have that luxury tax like you all in CA. we had a new tag "go missing" at the beginning of the year. we suspect either from our truck or boat while in for repairs. had to get a duplicate but that is all we can think of. we don hunt or fish so couldnt be that. i cant call until tomorrow to see what it was about but it is bugging me.

Sure it's fish and game and not animal reg (same uniform, different patches and badge) there to sell you a dog license?
My neighbors have all sorts of stuff taken from the sea they should NOT have, and we're waiting for fish and game to show up here if someone rats them out.

They probably suspect someone bagged an illegal beaver. It's fairly common in river areas I hear.

hubby called them on monday and was told they didnt have any record ofan officer coming out?????? gal said she would check into it and call back. no call back. we kinda thought they would come back yesterday (saturday) but alas, no visit.

my brother in law thinks it might be because i motioned to the sheriff boat to stop making a wake in humbug a couple weeks ago. :)
