We had such a good time this year I was thinking we could plan a similar trip during the summer. Steele Park just opened up camping for all of 2007 on Oct. 24. Anyone interested?

The belt crew will get a site for our trailer, so if anyone wants to put up a tent on it, let me know. I think we are allowed to put 1 tent up in the site. I think we will nix Spanish Flat for this trip from now on, and stay at Steele Park. I really liked having full hook ups instead of just water. Count the belt crew in for May 18-20...

I think most of the guys last month had like 22-25, and those seemed really good. I was in 72 (I think), and it was too far away, the water had receeded and there wasn't any water behind us till you went down 6-10 sites. But I imagine that in the spring there is water behind them, and maybe over there in that corner would be best for our loud asses...

Yeah, I know that there's a two night minimum when making reservations but they will let you stay one night if you show up and they have rooms available. I didn't want to put my tent up for just one night but at that price, I may do that. Thanks Bra, but RocketJ already told me that I can put my tent in his RV spot if I end up going that direction. Maybe, I will just sleep on the boat. Maggie's not coming up that weekend, so lots of options. :sleeping:

Not sure what I'm gona do. I was going to make reservation and cancel if need be down the line because it's our 8 year aniversery. The boss will not commit right now on what she wants to do. For me it's about the point, $45 is highway robbery, there's no reson for them to charge that much, especial the way the ground are keep. It should be like $19 a night or so.:sqeyes: Not to metion what B.C. and R.R. are also saying, $140 a night.

I'll tell you what really sucked was the 1st time we took the our trailer and boat to Berryessa, Monticello charged us for 2 spots! 100 bucks just to camp. I haven't been to Monticello since.

Ken I have no idea who is staying where, I think that most people are staying at Steele Park as they have RVs and some will be in tents behind the RVs. In years past there has always been a group of us at Spanish Flat but it looks like this year most of that group has committed to Steele Park as well. I will be staying where ever the most people are and sleeping in my boat to avoid the lack of RV and Hotel fees. If you can gain an intrest in a Spanish Flat group I will gladly stay there like I have in the past, it is always a blast and we always have one hell of a BBQ at least one night.

well this aint got chit to do with this camping trip but was at berryessa over the weekend hookin up with some nice bass..but notice the water hasnt gottin any higher than my last trip to be quit honest it was a little lower. spent some time under the bridge fishing and i didnt see any signs of it being closed off:D but we did notice the parking lot up top had some fresh concrete barricades around it:idea: ...well hopefully we get some water up there soon!!!!

This is going to be a fun weekend. I just got back from taking the trailer back to Berryessa after my camping trip last weekend, and it looks good. Not quite full, but up there. I think the paper say's 93% full. Can't wait. Going to swap heads this weekend and the junk'll be ready to go. See y'all next Fri. The only thing that sucks is the band booked a gig for the 19th, so I'll have to leave mid afternoon Sat, and be back late. Lisa want's to party, so she'll be staying while I go and play. Anyone interested in taking a trip to hear the band is more than welcome to come along, just let me know, but if it was me, I wouldn't give up boating...

Hi Ken, yeah we went out on San Luis reservoir yesterday. The little Peto motor ran great (it only had 10 hours on it since the last refresh). Glen did a great job on the swap and I didn't have any water, oil or fuel leaks. It ran 115 on pump gas boost which is about 8 mph less than the big motor but I'm hoping the rings last more than 30 hours on this motor. :idea:
I will probably leave the boat at home this weekend and just drive up to Berryessa on Friday by myself since Maggie's staying home to welcome out of town guests that will be staying with us. I need to leave the lake mid Saturday afternoon to drive back home in time to meet them for dinner.

Yeah, what did Dean say when you called him with your concerns? I checked my drive yesterday while Maggie drove and I have a ton of water coming out of both exit holes at plaining speeds. I also have a temp gauge for the drive and even with the one 115 blast for maybe 60 seconds, the needle barely came off the 140 degree min. temp reading. It does a good job of cooling when everything is working like it's supposed to. Hope you can get it figured out without any hassles.

so far dean has nothing to say except "it should work" well its worse then my old case, so I will call him in the morning and find out once and for all what his intentions are... Then I will decide what I will do.. this case has a much smaller water cavity then my other one and im thinking if i pour water down the top it should flow out the bottom and it just fills up in the top and dribbles out like a leaky faucet. also the top cap is turning gray from the heat im sure although my exhaust and intercooler water fall on the top of drive..
I hope he steps up to the plate to remedy this since he has 4300 of my money and I have a drive that doesnt cool properly and he did it.
I want to find out the style or year case I have... i have no idea what year this repplacement case is, so hopefully tomorrow morning ill know more for better or worse.

My drive temp gauge reads the gear oil temp (I think). It has a small thermocouple that is threaded into the side of the upper case. I think it goes all the way through and reads the gear oil temp. Yeah, I'm not worried about 140 degree temps at all. Good luck with getting a resolution to the problem. See you on Saturday.
