Here are a few pictures of our new 27. This is of course before bonding, sanding, polishing etc. The red blend that John came up with was just what I had hoped for. I can't wait to see this thing put together. :)

What would it weigh infused and what kind of speed with a 525?

Thanks. We went with the 525 for power. As far as opitions we added external steering, hydralic hinges, hydralic pop up wind screens, painted rub rail, and a foot wash.

sounds like the perfect choices--I would have liked a foot wash on mine, and there were days it got a little "windy"

the dust helps keep it a little more stealth--it will take longer before Magic or Commander can copy it that way

With the push of a button they retract down into the boat. Really nice, I think they just came out from Dana Marine.

They are fairly small approx 8" x 12" but they work very well at high speeds.

Yes they are new. We put the frist set on ours. They are about 18"s wide maybe a bit more and about 6-8"s high. They are bad ass. They go up and down just like a car power window. I have a switch on my side for both passenger and driver and Holly has a button on her side for just hers. At 100mph you can have a hat on and you just feel the wind on the top of your head. Your cheeks do not flap around and you can talk to the person next to you.

Here's the new electric wind deflector. We currently have one model 18" wide, raises 6". We are currently tooling several models for different installations. This first unit is fairly simple to install on any boat that has a 20" X 2.5" flat area on the deck. It does require under clearance for the mechanism.

Ultra currently has them available for the 26 deck and 27 shadow.

What is this whole "infusion hull" thing about. I was reading on it and it seems like its just a vacume seal to get air out of the resin? Does it make the boat stronger? Faster? How do I know if mine was that way?

Make the Rhino street legal then. :) And the Chevy is an 01 extra cab only, no baller here.

Most boats are NOT infused.
I believe Wes at Trident was the first to do it on the West coast followed by Ultra and E Ticket.
Basicly it uses a vacum to pull the resin all the way through the hull versus just laying it up wet and thick.
It is supposed to reduce weight and material by about 30-35%(It also makes it stronger)
Lighter boat = a faster boat.
the experts could give you a much better explanation.

I live in California remember;)
I don't think the Rhino would be all that impressive going up the hill on the Toll road. CHP would be a little miffed.
Trade you that 01 Silverado for my 97 Grand Am whenever your ready. :crossx:

yours is a normal "wet" lay-up...I think the first infused hull Ultra did was the deck-boat that John is driving
