I'd like to know what makes a Mercruiser smartstart a smartstart. Is it just a carb and choke setup? Is it easy to retrofit, or does it include complex things. The Qjet on mine is completely wasted. Its been sitting outside in salt air for 6 years and instead of just buying a reman marine Qjet I was wondering if I could get the smartstart instead.
