Most of the people here are "conservative", because they are independent and they reject the leftist, controlling nanny state, that the people who are currently called "liberal" are trying to impose on us all.

The majority here just want to keep as much of their own money as possible to do with as they see fit. Social services for the deserving not the "entitled" as "lazy class" would have it. The "lazy class" is what keeps the "social conscious" libs in business.
The thing that has always turned me off about the bulk of the democratic party is their raising of taxes. The Bush tax cuts have helped our economy which in turn put more money in the government coffer. But to listen to the libs and dems it's always tax cuts for the wealthy. Well guess who owns the businesses creating the jobs, it sure as hell ain't the "lazy class" pulling in entitlement checks every month and it sure the hell ain't the Kerrys or Kennedys that live off inherited trusts from someone else's hard work. (In Joe Kennedy's case- crime. In Gigolo Kerry's case- rich widow women.)
