Props to John Kirsch from Unique Performance West, IncÂ…Â…
www.uniqueperformancewest.com
BlackedoutF250 here on the boardsÂ…..
My Excursion never rode to well with the original 8” FabTech lift…..
He changed out the old front & rear leaf springs for 8” Donahoe Racing leafs and then add two new Donahoe Racing steering stabilizers…..
Now….it actually sits about 2” higher than before….
The front leafs are designed to take the added weight of the diesel engineÂ…..
We kept the Bilstein remote reservoir front dual & single rear shock systemÂ…..
The leafs are called “Plush-Ride” and REALLY do what they say…..
The new ride is AMAZING !!!!.......I just canÂ’t believe the differenceÂ…..
I highly recommend John to anyone looking for a lift or suspension upgrade to their truckÂ…
He is extremely professional and his customer service is greatÂ…Â…..

No shiat!!!
and those are 37's.....
I use it off-road for work quite a bit, so bigger tires are really out of the question...
It is still actually functional at this point.......

I'm at 35's on 20's with a 6" lift, banking on having to tow around a 12K or so pound boat. I'm keeping it on the functional side, especially with a 14K lb generator that I'm not towing with my company truck. ;)

Nice the dr kit was the way to go, they use Deaver springs which are a progressive rate spring soft unloaded but stiff when a load is applied. Congrats. Gotta love teh big X

While your at it get Tim's shit fixed :)
Tim got his lift re-done in January this year, at Superior Offroad in Ontario. same story, rides WAY better than the original, dealer lift kit by who-knows. Todd at Superior added the double set in the back cause I carry all the heavy stuff and really do go off road several times a week! The biggest difference I see is the left and right sway on the bad roads has stopped, making a huge difference to my back.

Yes, its just a piece of angle iron with a u bolt around the reciever and mud flaps from a truck supply place cut down to fit. Total cost was less than 60 bucks. Saves the trailer and gel from the bigger tires.
