Does anyone know how much a super charger cost for a 502 chevy? Also how much for installation, and will it fit under a motor cover? Have been considering a procharger but could'nt find price and have not been able to call.

$5k plus or minus but that would get you running with simple 8-71 set up.
Less if you go simple 6-71 cheep carbs spacers etc no sfi ballancer etc.
Ready for my ribbing guys.

Sanger mike reminded me . PUMP WORK plus
MOUNTS i left the stock mounts in my ELIMINATOR ..........
BROKE THEM and almost sank the boat when the motor jumped sideways and pulled the exhaust boot off one tip . What do you do with a 4inch exhaust tip that sits below the water line when the exhaust boot pulls off ,there is option A. let her sink, insurance loves that one . ( cuz u forgot to tell them you put a blower on . It was the first trip what could happen????????????
B. HAUL A$$ TO SHORE ( preferably near the boat ramp beach the submarine you are driving jump out and stuff a BIG A$$ towel in the tip and start praying the bilge pump dosent give out. Take her home and RAIL KIT THE BITCH!)
I like option ..............................B
and yes this comes from a personal lesson. :)

Keep your dream. It really is worth it. There is nothing in the world like have a nice motor with a blower sitting on top of it. The main thing is to not go too crazy with it. You don't need a top fuel motor and a 14-71 blower. You just need a street setup with a 671 or a B&M 420 (that's what I have on a bbc in a jet boat).
A blower is great when it's not even running. They are fun to look at. I get my rocks off with mine driving down the road when I look in my rear view mirror and see the blower, carbs and scoop sticking up. And when it's running with the belt flyiing around and that great sound your in heaven.
Live your dream. Buy it as a complete kit. Trying to piece the deal together can be time consuming and expensive. Just don't get carried away.
An even better way is to buy a complete motor. Sell your old stuff and away you go.
Big Al at www.bigalstoybox.com seems pretty cool. He helped with my carb tuning. He only does street type setups so you won't get sucked in over your head with him
Good Luck. Like I said in the beginning "It really is worth it"
L J
P.S. don't get sucked into turbos and such. Yes they make power but they don't have the same visual appeal. If you going to have a blower you might as well get 100% of the benefit of it.
