They say with the issues arising from Iran oil will get up to over $100.00 a barrel  That will put gas almost $5.00 a gallon. So are you going to be boating?

Sure, but everyone that gets in the boat is payin 20$ toward fuel.

You also have to figure in the fuel to get where ever your going. Nope i think i would get rid of it at $5.00 a gal.

I think that would be the worse time to get rid of it. Whos going to pay what your boats worth when gas is that expensive?

Let's see...my boat holds about 200 gallons, so that's around $1,000 to fill it up?
No worries!
Good thing race gas hasn't gone up with the crude prices...

I think my boat trips will consist of the Launch to the Channel and back to the launch if it were to hit $5! As long as I can kick it in the boat, I'm a fine with it!

I'm going no matter what gas costs...just might float more and run less

As long as my oil company stocks go up and my day rate goes up at the same % increase..it can hit 20 bucks a gallon for all I care!

its crazy.. i remember a couple years ago i was in awe of how much gas was in europe.. were right there now.. i think $5 a gallon would definitely lower the amount of river trips throughout the year for my family.

I don't think I would sell my boat but I definitely wouldn't be driving it as much. I would be spending a lot of time beached or anchored in a cove.

I think I'll have to buy a bigger boat so I can bring more people to the lake it's cheaper per person this way.....
Not to mention I'll be hangin' in the channel after launching at the Lake Havasu Marina..

I have to agree with what is being said. Fewer trips, and less time running the boat. 85 gallons at $5 a gallon is what gas used to cost for the entire trip, including the tow rig! Now gas for my average 4 day trip would be over $1300 dollars! Damn, thats what my average 4 day trip used to cost including the gas!

These gas prices are gettng out of control back in the U.S. Over here I pay about $0.06 for a gallon in the country of Iraq and when I'm down in Kuwait I'm paying about $0.27 a gallon. I know the oil is here in these countries but why does it have to be so expensive back home.
By the way that price comes with a risk everytime we stop to refuel outside the compound.

As a very pretty blonde lady once told me. No matter how high gas prices go, 5 dollars worth is still 5 dollars worth.
