Not too hard to find a spot today. I don't think I've ever seen it this dead. To think, this is noon on a Sunday. Yeah, it was pretty windy (and choppy) out on the lake. Had a nice time hanging out and running in to a few Hot Boat people. Thanks Todd and Dana for hanging today. Also nice seeing the Sbarks and Force26 and his boys.

We did get a chance to see what these boats can do and they performed VERY WELL! Todd and Dana good hanging with you guys again. Force 26 nice to meet you. JW and Leah a joy as usual.

That is standard operating procedure in Canyon Lake. Inflatables are not allowed on the main lake, but they are allowed to be towed in the back bay at 5 MPH, which is great for the little ones and just plain relaxing. We even just drag with a ski rope.
Since the channel was vacant...what was the problem?

I assume the entire channel and Thomson Bay is a "no ski" zone? I've seen the LEO's pull folks over for towing inflatables.
It's tough enough to get through there with just a boat...I can you imagine how fun it would be if everyone was towing an inflatable... :supp:

They ran great. We took both out for a run. Mine is the 27 (White) the other is the new 26 Deckboat. JW took some customers for a test drive and they were impressed. JW was cruising through the chop in the deck. I made a couple runs as well with JW side by side. These runs were made down to Copper Canyon and back.

Thanks. After three season with our 21ft Essex we needed to step. Sold the Essex year+ ago due to Sons club soccer and daughters Horse riding. Figured out we were missing all the fun and had to get back into boating. I was on this site and looked at the pics of John's 26 deck went to Ultra'a web site, looked in the inventory saw the boat and the rest was a formatlity.

we got a little delayed sunday and never made it to the channel--3 trailers in the windsor lot when we pulled my boat out the first time--Ron's 27' Ultra--John's 26, and Mike's 27' :D They were well represented---
The second time we launched yesterday had the entire windsor parking lot to myself, and the entire lake--kinda wierd being the only boat on the water :220v:

First I want to thank John and his wife for taking time out of their weekend to meeting us on Sunday. We flew out from the East Coast this past weekend to take a test ride in a 26 Shadow. All I can say is wow!!!! Conditions were NOT ideal in his view and he apologized but from my perspective, what better way to see what the boat could do then run it with crappy conditions.
Wind was blowing with gusts up to 30 according to the radio. The water was basicallly a white cap machine with 2-4 foot waves when we were out for our ride.
Our conclusion: We are sold! Let's just say, I think i'll be owning a tunnel by next May!!!! fyi...I now have a taylor jet boat for sale;)
But don't take our word for it as I did manage to shoot a little video on 1 of our runs. Now the quality isn't great as I was using the Video feature on my little digital still camera and I couldn't hold it that still, but you still get the idea that the ride in these conditions is Impressive.
To see Video :Click here (http://www.teamjustice.net/pics/ultratestride.wmv)
The only other boat we saw out was John's friend in a 27 Shadow.(That looked to handled the rough conditions even better). These conditions are rare back East where we would use the boat so for us it was a good test to show how the boat would do if we were ever faced with bad conditions and still wanted to be able to boat.

Im looking forward to it. Yeah cant beat the deal I got. I had read on those Cmi you installed. How hard were they to put on, some say a pain in the a**. That will be my next winter project. So far this winter I would like to add Sub's and Amps. Already bought billet optima bat. brakets and battieres. And the wind deflecters you are adding. Our the one's your having installed hydrolic or electric? (not sure if thats an option or not) And of course Sat radio and I pod connect.

The CMI's were a huge pain to install. Much more of a pain than I expected. I believe that the new Dana flaps are electric, but not positive about that. I had Ultra do my subs and amp and will probabally do Optima's sometime in the near future. Optima's are so much better

They have been good so far. No complaints. I can say this web site is what sold me on the boat. I would have had no Idea Ultra even made a deck. I have in the past and present have been spending my internet time on Lasvegas***boats.
Due to many members on ***boat who have Ultra's I plan on spending time here also. Thanks everyone, you all have been more than helpfull.

Nice on the subs and amp. I was thinking 10's and up grade the the six speakers already in there. Plus amps. I was thinking electric also on the wind deflectors. Seems you have one install under your belt I might be asking alot of questions when I'm ready for mine. :D
