They're not gonna make anymore 1971 Vegas either.
But I wouldn't pay a mil or more for one.

That was correct, $1,150,000. for a 70 Cheville ex race car. BUT a 1950 GM "Parade of Progress" bus, yes bus, brought $4,100,000.... Unbelieveable!! Oh yeah, the owners of the bus, one of 3 left running of the original 10, were hoping to get 600K............Go figure..........MP

Thanks for linking us up to that. It explains a little about why it was so rare, and shows the unit for what it was, a display vehicle for GM promotions. Maybe you could post it in the other B/J thread..........MP

Some of those people had to feel bad this morning when they woke up. OH my god I bought a bus for 4 million. Might be worth it when GM goes bust?? :D

I dont think anyone had any bad feelings today. Those people have so much money you can't imagine. When they want to have a picinic they buy Prevhost motor homes. Also notice it was the same few people runnin the bids way up. Some of them are museums. But your right, that 69 z/28 with the tree growin through it that I've been tryin to buy for 10 years, the guy thinks its worth a 100k. He doesn't realize it could cost that to restore. And most peole think a matching #'s car means engine/body, but those cars have correct starter motor, etc. man. codes on them. By the way I have a 79 Mustang with 000,369 miles on it for sale. Bidding starts at 15,000.... You could take it to B/J and get rich! ( maybe)

Guy I know owns one that was owned by Karen Carpenter's brother(can't remember his name), it has less than 500 miles and just sits in his warehouse. Still has the window sticker in it even. Kinda drives me nuts, he thinks it's worth a mint and won't do anything with it.

I had a Cosworth Vega. What a POS that thing was. You couldn't get any power accessories on it: no power steering, no power brakes, no power windows, no power door locks, and no A/C. And it couldn't even get out of its own way.
When I sold it, I woke up in the middle of the night to check the driveway to make sure it was really gone.
