Kobe will never make it to Sams age and still be playing.
Livinston will take over soon. There is a new mini-Magic in town :)
You are watching the Clips...aren't you? lol
I have been waiting for Livinston to take over for a few years now, it seems like this is a repetitive thing.
 :rollside:

In order to win "another" they will have to win "One" first, so since the Clipps haven't won "One" yet, I will have to go with the Lakers :) Sorry Tom

GAME TIME

Nope...next game for me is in March I think.
52 is way to many wins Joey....
Will be there on Tuesday. Should be a great game.

I think those shoes are to big for SL to fill, specially since he has started worst this year, than last year. And I say the Lakers win 49-50 games, and they get a championship before the Clipps do.

why in the fukc do care how many games the lakers win ? :argue: i thought you are a clipper fan ....... ??????? would you stop popping your "laker viagra" tom  you're killing me :crossx:
I don't think Tom can help it, after years of misery, he is enjoying the last couple of seasons.

Caveman can not guard Okufur. He goes away from the basket and he can't get out on him. Okufur reminds me a bit of the big Russian guy who played for Portland. Not as big but somewhat similar game. I would have liked to have seen that Russian play in his prime. He could have driven Shaq nuts
You are talking about Sabonis, great player, could shoot it from long range and play the post game.

He did drive Shaq nuts, dont you remember the rivalry in the championship years? maybe not, you were sitting with Billy Crystal while the clippers were bitch slapped! :D
Really though, he gave Shaq some battles and it was fun to watch.

Shit...his knees were gone by the time Shaq got to see him. I think in his prime he would have really dominated Shaq. He had the entire game down to a science but the knees gave out. Shaq has always relied on strictly a power game and Sabonis was big enough and strong enough to keep him at bay.
That is true, Shaq is right behind him though...he will be done in a year. He could have lasted longer, if he would have stayed in shape.

I think it would have been a great match-up, but I don't think Sabonis would have dominated, Shaqs speed, athleticism and power would have more than made up for Sabonis good shooting. Sabonis was also lighter in his prime and not as strong or quick as Shaq. It would have made for a great rivalry.

Rick Smits was much better than Caveman is. Of course he had about 3 inches on Kaman also.
Hence the "less talented" statement.

So....Anybody care to "revise" their estimates? They are on pace to win 42 and they will be hard pressed to make that. Sometimes you just have to say "I told you so!"
Clips are sucking air and seem to be going down as they are hitting the road and haven't done shit all year. Time for you LF's to admit that they are just about done also. Without the excuses please.

STOP MAKING EXCUSES DON! It is just the way it is today in the NBA.....Why isn't Kobe taking over the games late when they are close? I thought he would win those games because of him. Maybe he is sulking again and trying to prove something to management? I don't know but it IS NOT working.

Why is it when the Clippers suck (which is always) and the Lakers are doing good, you don't hear a thing from Tom? He vanishes from the boards, and is all down. As soon as the Lakers start to tank, he all over the place gloating like a school girl, not happy because the Clippers are doing anything worth a shi t, but only because another team is struggling just like his.
I have always been a Laker fan but not a Clipper hater till now.

Don't let Tom get to you, he didn't know the Lakers were going to have these many injuries, yes he was probably hoping, but he didn't know. He got lucky in his assessment, and now he wants to rub it in, even though he was hoping a healthy Laker team would loos that many games, so either way, he was wrong, cause we all saw what a healthy Laker team can do. So let him, the more people respond to his post about the Lakers, the more fun he has. After all, if it wasn't for Laker basketball, he would not have any basketball to talk about.

You been hanging out with Don? It has been consistent all year. I don't vanish from the boards but have noticed the Laker contingent has. WTF is that all about? Are LF's just the type to jump on the bandwagon? My Clips are stinking up the place and the Lakers are actually doing better than expected by MOST informed NBA pfofessionals so I don't see your point.
It is good when the LF's start hating on the Clips. It means the Clips are making some inroads and striking some nerves.
I am out here on my island all alone in Clipperland these days.....lol

Walton and LO are coming back real soon so there is hope for you LF's. The problem going forward is the lack of team chemistry right now. The team has imploded and you can't just flip the switch.
I never hope for injuries Juan as I want to see the best play the best and see where the chips fall.
All I ded was bump a thread from earlier this year. You guys want me to delete it?

Of course it is, when somebody gets hurt, you have to replace him, and then you have to get use to that new person, then when the injured player comes back, you have to get use to him all over again.

But....you have to admit that there has been a lot of sniping going back and forth between players and the coaching staff. Plus the young guys have pretty much hit the wall. Hitting the wall is expected for young guys, bitching amongst the team should not be expected and of course unexpected injuries take their toll. It has been a combination and like I said the season is long

Outcoled and Jyruiz hit the nail on the head (jy as usual).
LO and Walton will be back soon, but they will still have to work their way back into shape, it takes a while after being out for so long.
I do agree though, it is pretty sad when you cannot get satisfaction from your team winning and have to get it from another team losing (even though they are still doing better than your team with ALL the injuries).
I think you should be rooting against the kings, cause they are going to put the clippers right out of the playoffs. But, if the clippers make the playoffs they will be swept first round by Dallas, there is no hiding behind a week team this time around. ;)
Oh yeah, what is the clippers excuse? they have been healthy all year and are a deeper team right? Why have they squeaked into the 8th spot right now?

Yup, and that is where the injuries hurt the most, cause the young guys can't bring it the way the veterans and starters can.

Get me some quotes I made about excuses for the Clips Don. I don't make excuses and accept the reality of the situation. You on the other hand aren't capable of seeing the reality in front of you.
The best possible scenario is that the Kings and Clippers overtake the Lakers and knock their asses right out of the playoffs altogether. I don't see the Clippers doing it though as they haven't played good enough this year for whatever reasons.

You dont know it yet, but you proved my point.
There is no excuses for the clippers right? they just suck! They have been healthy and have not been able to make a single run.
I am facing reality of the Lakers. They are hurt right now, full of injuries and that is reality, it is not a lack of talent and heart (like the clippers) it is a lack of personnel.

The Clippers have had their share of injuries this year Don but you don't see me bringing it up in every friggin' post.
Do you forget the thread I started a week or so ago telling you LF's I feel your pain? Shit, I have been very good about it this year and you know it.
You LF's are just very high maintenance and take everything personally while striking out at others.
I just have fun with all of these. It has become a fun thing for especially you and me to go back in forth in a good old teasing fashion. Sorry you guys take this stuff so seriously.
I think I am just about done with this shiznit anyhow. Boating season is upon us. Go enjoy the day and forget about your team for a few days :)

Good game, the Lakers and phoenix match up well, I hope they meet first round to be honest.
The Lakers vs. suns series is 1-2 this year and all three have been determined by 8 or less points.

They are at 40 wins with 6 games to go. As I mentioned "If they stayed clear of injuries" They would be at 50 atleast by the end of the season.
