Dan I put some shimms in the bucket seats pedestals to tilt them back, used differant size shimms until it felt good. I also had the upholstorer put in lumbars for the back.

Flatbottoms are supposed to be comfortable??? I was thinkin the same thing...
If it's a flatty go real fast deal, I would think the seat would be leval or even a slight tilt forward, but then I could be confused too

I would think a more important concern would be the location of the seat from the steering wheel. When I was Drag Boat Racing, I had the seat back with my arms almost straight. When we bought our first Circle Boat (a D'Cucci), I made the mistake of setting up the seat the same way. After my first race, my arms hurt for a week. The seat needs to be a little closer since you have to muscle an 18' boat and engine around a corner. (as much as 10 times a heat). So it really depends on the application. My $.02
