....and I just realized "Oh shit!" I have forgotten to post a pic of my boat!
So here it is...I am currently in the process of doing a complete overhaul on her. She is a 1978 Marlin Tigershark, has quite a bit of history on her and not much of it has been upkeep related.

And here she sits in her current state...all gutted ready to get all the fiberglass and paint work done to her.

And this is kind of what she'll look like when she's all done.

Nice classic.
How much of the work are you going to do yourself?

If you look in the bottom picture, you will see his boat is on the right with old gel.
It looks like his is a project that is just starting.

Sweet. I love the older boats. Its my favorite part of HB mag. I like to hear the stories of how people ended up with some of their boats.
I was sure this was going to be another post about how everyone on here is an a-hole...LOL

Thanks. As far as the hull work, that's all being done by a place here called Fiberglass Unlimited. I'm doing the reassembly of the boat, rewiring etc etc. Also, I rebuilt the jet pump myself and I'm almost done with the motor. The motor is an Olds 455...building it semi performance.
And yes Tom you're right...the hull is just getting started.

Oh trust me I can't wait to be riding it again.
I'm hoping to God the test and tune on her is quick and painless once she's all back together.
She's getting some cool new goodies. Like an MSD ignition, Holley 750cfm double pump carb, and Edelbrock chrome valve covers on the motor. I'm also changing the Edelbrock Torker manifold over to an Edelbrock Performer as well. I was gonna keep it thru-transom exhaust, but now my buddy (ironman44bear) has really got me thinkin' about OT headers or just OT pipes. I know they're loud, but you can get mufflers for them and MAN they make a boat look sweet!
The sand strainer just arrived yesterday so that'll keep the motor clean. I'm going really fancy on the water plumbing too, complete with a sand strainer, pressure relief system (so the block only sees about 15psi of water pressure at all times), and a thermostat kit as well so she'll run at a constant 160 degrees. Also installing a Jetaway and the motor will be mounted on a rail kit, which is being custom built by a buddy of mine. He just got the blueprints drawn up in Autocad for it last night. The bow tank is being scrapped and we're going with saddle tanks on this one.
To top it all off, we're adding a Place diverter to her as well.
