mercruiser trs 2 info

hi. im looking for info on and older trs2 outdrive. i built and aluminum box with a 4.3 engine, 1 to 1 velvet drive, connected to this outdrive. i have no books on this outdrive, such as lining up to eng. help appreciated.

some one told me i have an ittr drive, i cannot find model number. anyone have info on this drive?

Are you sure its not a TR II? I have one on my houseboat. Same unit as a TRS but the lower leg is longer to swing a larger diameter prop and if I remember right its a 2:1 gear ratio instead of a 1.5 to 1. I have the orgianal 1975-6 owners manual. The engine to outdrive allignment is easyier on that model than other Mercruisers. Mine has been in fresh water for 30 years with only haulouts every 3-5 years with no mechanical issues ever. Sure, I'v had to deal with corrision though.
