Trying to get my Eliminator back in the water and I need to drain the tanks. What do I do with the gas after I drain them. I would imagine it would be too old to put into my cars and trucks to burn? I don't even know how much fuel is in the tanks. Could be a lot. Any advise on how to deal with this.

I don't have one yet. I need to get this boat running first. The ***boat.com mods said if my boat isn't running by the end of the year, I won't be able to post on this board anymore.

Put it in a pump up sprayer and use it for weed killer next summer.

Don't get one. They are lame and just a fad. Not fun at all. I wish I would have never wasted my money on the piece of shit.

Dump 4 or 5 gallons of it into a vehicle that already has about 15 galons of fuel in it and just burn it as a mixture. Won't hurt a thing. If you are afraid of using the car (which it won't hurt) than mix it 50-50 in good gas and feed it to the lawn-mower, or anything wlse you want to.

Man, that is some old gas. If you have a container that will hold it, my suggestion is the same as SmokinLowriderSS....except I would mix just 2 or 3 gallons of the old crap to 15-20 gallons of new gas. I would also buy 92 octane of new gas to mix the old with.

I've burned old gas in small ratios as described above in my truck w/o problems to get rid of it.

Once you figure out what you're going to do with the old gas, figure out how you're going to clean the old stuff out of the carb(s). I'm sure it did a number inside.

When I was a kid my dad used gas to try to kill a bunch of ants coming out of a hole in our steep driveway. It didn't kill them so he threw a match on it. That killed them, but the flames got high and were threatening a small tree, so he got out the hose to put out the fire. It was really neat watching the flames run down the driveway into the gutter and down the street. :220v:

a few months ago you could have sold it for .30 of what new gas costs, anyone would have bought it then!
I say write something cool on the street in front of your house and light it up and take a pictures of it from the roof of your house, or draw out a christmas tree...the possibilites are endless. I wish I had a bunch of old gas sitting around !!

The gas in my lawn mower might be that old too. It cost me $120 to store that thing.

are you kidding? in 1999 you probly paid like $1.00 a gallon for that stuff, if you had a million gallons you could make at least a million off that crap, so how big are those tanks...? :p

I drained some "fuel" out of my '64 Galaxie that had been sitting for 17 years, hadn't planned on parking it that long, but that's life... anyhow, tried to run it in my old riding mower, but ended up pulling the head about every 30 minutes to unstick the intake valve :220v: .....nasty yellow stuff :yuk: that didn't even smell like fuel anymore, but it did run on it.... used the other 5 gallons to burn the pine needles off teh gravel driveway :crossx:

You could probably take it to a quick lube place and see if they will let you dump it in their used oil tanks. Or if you change and recycle your own oil, just mix some in before you bring the oil in for recycling. Other than that, burn it in small quantities mixed with fresh gas like mentioned above.
