Pretty funny, I was there too. Here's a link to my pics
www.webs4racers.com/cars-n-coffee
Our pics of the yellow lambo pulling in are probably 20 feet apart from each other.
Can you believe that Exelero. I've seen it in the rags, but to see it in person was amazing. Also, this car was built on a late model corvette chassis, pretty funny. http://www.webs4racers.com/cars-n-coffee/thumbnails/thumb_DSC01070.JPG
I'm a BMW guy so the BMW section was pretty cool to see. The twin turbos stuffed in to the blue 2002 was amazing. I overheard the guys talking and that car was basically built from the ground up.

This group used to meet at the shopping center near Crystal Cove on PCH. They recently moved to Irvine due to the rich snot holes complaining about noise etc. If you want to see classic cars that folks have restored and actually got their hands dirty on, go to Adams & Magnolia on Saturday morning aka: Donuts and Derlicts. While I appreciate the cars at the Irivne show, I appreciate more the guy who restored one and did not just plunk down major cash. Both are great shows, but I prefer the "classics".

Funny I was thinking the same thing. They were missing an Enzo and an S7. Saleen is less than 5 miles away and there has got to be an Enzo in So OC.
Hmmmm...tasty! my neighbor has an F430 spyder it sounds so sweet when he drives it. I have another neighbor with an Aston Martin DB9. Both of them sound incredible when they drive by.

Basically right just north of the Irvine Spectum in the Ford/Premeir Auto Group parking lot. This is a great location, Newport was kind of a hassle to get to, but this is freeway accessible from 5/405/133/toll roads
As someone else mentioned, it's every Saturday rain or shine from 7-9.

I like the one down in HB better too! Alot of nicer classic cars and some woody's there too! The Irvine one is something for people that have money but dont know how to actually work on a car and make it truely beautiful. Besides, lambos, ferraris, 1 porche gt, vipers, and benzo's galore can be seen in my parking structure everyday. Just go to main and macarthur and post a chair, free carshow right there! Its wierd because working down there ive now become accustom to seeing these cars everyday and now they are no big deal. BUT, i DID get excited a few weeks back when i saw a saleen s7! One badass machine!

You dont want my job. Its stressful. Some of the cars are from my company (wholesale mtg lender), some are from Lehman Bros (our parent company), and some are from the guys at Smith Barney (investors), well at smith barney it would only be the higher up guys.

True, but I bet there is a percentage of people in Huntington Beach that just kick down money to Boyd or Barrett-Jackson and buy a car that is ready to roll. For an extreme example take a look at Leno, I doubt he wrenches :) or William Lyon, or Dick Marconi. Granted they represent a small percentage.
The funny thing about Irvine/cars & coffee is that you're right many of those cars can be seen everyday, but to see that many of them in 1 place is pretty nutty.

Why is it nutty? Many of our boats are worth 100k, 200k, and even 300k + and we all congregate every weekend in Havasu. Yet no one thinks thats nutty? Even better yet, the boats are toys that we dont use nearly as often as a car. I do agree with you on the barrat-jackson thing though. That show has made cars go waaaayyyy out of control in terms of costs.

Not bagging on either show, both are great. In fact I try to hit both of them, time permitting  Since I too live in Irvine, the crystal cove show is second

Believe me, I love seeing that too! I probably like the boats a little more as they represent fun, relaxation and good times. Any time I see a boat on the road I think, there is a person that is either on their way or returning from a good time.
