alright ladies/gents,...this happenes everytime i start to accelerate from standstill: when i am just accelerating to about 30 mph, the pump is spewing a small shower of water into the engine compartment and i think the water is bouncing off of the trim lever on my pump....im not sure. it only happenes when im starting to accelerate and it just gets everything in the rear of the boat wet. i notice that it doesnt happen w/ other jets. its a 76 eliminator w/ an aggressor jet. anyone know why/how/how to fix it? thanx in ADVANCE.

Just pull the bolts and have a look. They could even be lose. I had a gasket go once and it shot a stream up 20 feet.

the reason i dont think its a gasket is because it stops completely once i get on plane, maybe a lil' before that.

Could be a bad nozzel O-ring.

You've probably got a bad o-ring or nozzle bushings in the nozzle to diverter housing area. This plus the diverter stuck in the down position could easily cause your problem. I'd say put in new bushings, Nozzle o-ring and get your diverter fixed and you'll be good to go.

Now there is a race nozzle! that won't sink your boat. Nice pic's

okay so you guys are saying that in accelleration, i should start w/ the trim in the up position? and then slowely lower it to get on plane? that means when i get the system fixed, ill try that and it will clear my problem w/ this stupid water shower?....that sounds just about right w/ inspecting the o ring and bushings.
