I've got a straight pipe on my pickup, and open long tube headers on my el camino... never had trouble with the cops with either.

WTF Kimmy......My relatives have trucks like that too. Only difference is that they either have a rooster or a cow sticker on the doors and "Durango" on the rear glass. :crossx:

the summit knock off mufflers sound the same for half the price.we just put a set under my bud's 87 swb, they looked the same, sounded the same ,cost him @80 bucks total. if that thing is still tbi , you should try a helix bore spacer under the throttle body, it really wakes these trucks up! the tbi system slobber's the fuel in at low pressure(11-14psi), doesn't break it up very well, the spacer adds alittle plenum volume and does a great job breaking up the fuel. the helix spacer is one of the rare products that actually works, suprised the hell outta me, you can actually feel a difference.

Ditch the Flowmasters (aka. Trash Cans) Go buy yourself a set of Dynomax Super Turbos. You'll get better mielage and more power with them. I've been through my share of trash can Flowmasters. All of them have come apart inside. Dynomax's are the way to go and they're a lot cheaper. We did a little test a while back with my friends truck. Early 70's chevy with a stout 400ci small block. He picked up 3/10 ths in the quarter mile by switching from 2 chamber flowmasters to the Super turbos. It may not sound like much but to a drag racer 3/10ths is huge. And the Super turbos sound great too.
