i just snapped these real quick...sorry they are crappy but i think this will help.....it is sooooooo easy to install them....i have a 460 also.......
here is the bassett t-valve and lines going to headers and dump line that goes overboard...just be sure to get the proper fitting before the T.....the original fitting was pressed into the t-sat housing so i had to thread it

The gate valve should be on the pump to regulate water coming in, then into a tee and into the front of the block. From there you should have one line out of the t-stat housing directly overboard (no valves, etc...) and one line to the Bassett valve, then out to the headers. When it's all done, start with the gate valve full open, and adjust it down 1/4 turn at a time to achieve an idle engine temp of around 180*. This should result in a 140-160* engine temp, no water from the headers at idle, and only a mist and steam once you are on plane. If you have raw water coming from the headers on plane, then epoxy a 1/8" pipe plug with a 1/8" hole drilled in the center of it, into the inlet of the Bassett valve to reduce flow.

pump to gate valve
gate valve to the T-fitting at front of engine (under my crank pulley)
the water line splits (from T-fitting) and goes into waterpump inlets
(circulate through motor)
Exit at thermostat housing a) T-Valve to headers, and, b) Red line is the dump line
