Does the waste gate exit into the open, or does it get redirected back into the exhaust past the turbo?

He sent me photos, the waste gate has it's own separate exhaust tube.

Does it just exit into the open? His ad says safe for under the hatch.

The photos he sent me were of open exhausts, with separate exhaust for the waste gate. If you had custom exhausts made, you could route the weste gate back into the main exhaust.
