Yep, I had a flatbottom have the right one come loose up by the v-drive before.
On the boat I have now both stringers were comming loose back by the engine. Here's the link to all of the pics. Some show the repair that was done to the stringers. http://www.havasubarney.com/gallery/album21

Thank you for the reply .I bought the boat in a junk yard in havasu. I think one of the problems is the fool that put the boat together over tightened every thing. when I took motor mounts loose it was so tight it it had cut the fiberglass the shape of the mount.Ive got glass almost done Im sandwiching the stringers in motor area with1/4 inch alum.makeing sort of arail kit.

Superdave, you weren't kidding about full of holes in your boat http://free.***boat.net/ubb/eek.gif ! If modern day Bonnie & Clyde used your boat as a getaway ,they couldn't have as many holes pumped in that hull today http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

To many 80mph runs from long beach to catalina I guess. It's all fixed now.
eliminator777, Sounds like you have it under control now. It's good guys like you are saving these old v-drives. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif I look forward to seeing you out on the lake this summer.
