I Run a diagnostic company in Havasu.
That was a cold evening. 65 degrees and water temp 60. This explains the glass, we were the only two crazy enough to run the river after sunset!!! BTW, nice video for a digital photo cam. Thanks for the Email & Video! Nice of you to send them.
I was out testing a different prop pitch and recently removed the windshield for tint so the wind was cold. My 22’ 1987 Stingray 222 was not very photogenic yet despite all new upholstery and graphics. I’m trimming out the boat with Rex Marine blue swim decks, grab handles, cleats etc.. Waiting on Rex Marine to get the item’s from powder coat before they ship.
Sean formerly of Domin8tor now with Lightning boats in CA built my motor with Dories blessing. Randy & Tony @ R & R Products of Havasu installed and rigged the boat. You can click on my images I uploaded in the Drives/Motor gallery under recent uploads or my profile “codert”. I’m running a GM 290hp crate motor with all roller cam, pushrod, Crane setup and pro comp 1.6 ratio SS roller lifters. EMI Thunder exhaust and 750 Demon carb. Dart Eagle One aluminum heads w/ Faria SS valves 2.02/1.60 and high rev springs. I don’t know what the HP works out to be but it really has a nice sound! You would never know it was a 350. It’s very good on gas. 42gal tank from Windsor Beach to Parker dam and back takes about ½ tank @ 80% throttle.
Randy will be the guy to rig up a 6-71 blower and cooler from the blower shop. I wonder what gas mileage I’ll get.
I have a Engine cover and NHRA Scoop being done by Ron Wiggin @ Upholstery Specialties in Havasu. Should look pretty sharp after that.
I’m adding some extra weight with 2000 watt @ 1ohm Hifonics Hercules Amp and 4ea D4 15’s Subs wired in series. (Wired for Sound) I’m thinking I’ll need 2 over priced Optima batteries to run the amp. So 4 batteries in the boat. Heavy!
Steve....
