Would it be possible to have a separate section for fiberglass work or hull related repairs / painting under the "Tech" section of the forums. Seems a lot of people have questions to be answered about fiberglass work and boat hull repairs (transom, stringer, gelcoat, etc.) and end up asking questions in the "How To Section." As per the second sticky in the "how to section" we are not suppsoed to ask questions outside of the scope of the thread we may be posting in. Fiberglass questions then have to be posted in s subforum like just jets or v-drive and may not be seen by people who do not frequesnt other subforums that may have good info to offer. If you grouped all the hull repair related threads as well as the paint thread and fiberglass / gelcoat questions, you would see that that forum would get good use and it would be perfect in the "Tech" subforum. Just an idea for your consideration. :)

Not sure if there's enough content to create a forum for electrical that already doesn't find a home in the various tech forums, especially in Gear Heads. What we don't want to do is create a bunch of sub forums that don't get much action imo. We already have a couple that are dead players.
The How To section was full of glass, paint and hull topics. All the threads in the new glass forum right now were moved from the How to section. To me that was warranted because there's a good number of threads that really didn't have a home in the individual tech forums.
