Anyone know of a place in O.C. who can weld up a cracked rim? One broke this past weekend and I can not seem to find a place that will weld it up for me. :( It is just a hair line crack that should not be a big deal at all. Anyone have any idea where to look?

Call Wheel Repair Specialists in Santa Ana. Ask for Tim. He is a great guy and if it can be fixed he will fix it. Tell him Ryan from Newport Wheel sent you (I used to work with him a lot).

Awesome. Thanks for your help! :) The rim is a Weld "Mountain Crusher" and is a 2 piece rim. The rim cracked right where the seam came together. I contacted Weld and they were no help. :( Looking to get it all handled so I can get the truck back from the river this weekend. :)

Wheels America is who we deal with...if you need the info call us at the shop tomorrow.
Geza thinks this is the same wheels that Mr166 has & he has had some ongoing issues with them as well. Of course Weld did not help them out either. Good luck :rollside:

tell weld your wife drives it with your children. Now that they are aware of the problem and it splits,or loses all the air and leaves her stranded or in a accident......That was a $300 or so rim?

I have had the rims for about 2 years now. They have worked great up until this point in time. :( I would have thought that Weld would have stepped up and helped me out with a new rim, but no dice. :(

Uh-oh. I had three leak on my old truck (all on the front). They all started cracking and then lost air, etc. I had a feud going with 4WP over them. I finally was there one day and the Weld rep was there by chance. Finally got it straightened out...

Tim over at Wheel Repair Specialists hooked me up on this one. I took it to him today and he said that I should have it back tomorrow sometime mid morning. They were going to dismount the tire, weld up the cracks, re-finish the wheel, re-mount and blance the tire. I called Mag Masters and they wanted 2x as much to get it done as Wheel Repair. So far I am definitely a happy camper. :) Hope it goes as smooth tomorrow as it did today. :)
