Well, it all started out good with an 8.86 et in the morning. Then I ran late at night (way to go Mark on the night photos) they are a little grainy since it was so dark.
We blew up the Chevy too, those pics are next. 7 years and no down time, I guess its gotta happen. Both at the same race too!

Looks like a broken rod bolt from what can tell. Here are some pictures of the parts. I take some of the itty bitty peices of rod from the oil pan later.

Ah hell, a little JB weld, liquid steel, some super glue, and some baleing wire and you're good to go another round. It really is amazing what happens when one "little" part gives up the ghost. You shoulda torn it down just before that run   :) .......MP

I saw that pass!! I dont feel bad when fuelers do it but when the "little" guys do it I feel bad. Im just glad that the boat didnt do anything stupid. I guess after 7yrs a new motor would be good;)

Is it an optical illusion or is that rod hollow?

I am more than willing to help with a donation to get the motor back together.
I begged you to take my money.

Do you think the motor may have hydro-locked itself?

We tear up shit way worse than that on a regular basis.........And we run our shit for 5 miles per heat...........This 1/4 mile stuff is just a spit in the bucket of REAL destriction...............MP

I'm betting it started as an h-beam and the sides just got folded over in the "accident".
Kurtis500,
Tough break, good luck on the next engine!
