what is a droop snoot how good do they work,also what is a inducer

I have a 1986 catalina open bow jet boat its a little slow,and was offered a droop snoot and a inducer also a ss impeller all for a berklet jet,will this help me.....i am running a brand new 454 indamar engine it probally goes 55mph right now.How can i tell if the jet parts are interchangeable/from one berkley jet to another....any info will be appreciated thank you
