By far, one of the biggest swings I've even witnessed was 80*. Living in Montana years ago, it went from -40 to +40 in less than 24 hours.

And when its -40*, on a perfectly sunny day, the humidity in the air is frozen. Not a cloud in the sky, but all you see is ice particles floating around. Humidity frozen and suspended in mid air. The first breath you take outside, your nose hair becomes frozen. The air is so thin, you can hear a car coming at you, miles before it reaches you.
