19 ft on tandem trlr with new stainless fenders and recent wiring and bearings.
New seats by Martinez, bottom by Quality Fiberglass Repair.
468 ci BBC. Approx 10 to 1 compression, 990 heads, Weiand Tunnel with 2 800 double pumpers. MSD distributor, coil, and 6al. Crane rollers, comp mechanical roller (CB 285C-R8) with .638 and .622.
Steel crank, Milodon Gear drive, and 10 qt pan.
Berkley pump with a B impeller, droop, ride plate and shoe. Mech diverter.
Mechanically this thing is 9 plus. Cosmetically IÂ’d say an 8 (looks great from 10 ft).

A guy I knew in OC owned that boat. I think. His name was Pat and he had a 70 something bagged suburban that towed it. Is that the same boat?

Not sure. When my Dad got a hold of it the motor was fresh and supposed to make big horsepower, but the boat was running in the mid 70's. The set up was waaaay off, so the guy didn't want to screw with it anymore. Could that be the guy?

His name was Pat Nicholl ... and yes, it was Ballistic Motorsports out of Mission Viejo.
I was there when he started up Ballistic waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back. Like 1989-1990, I fought with him about the name ... thought it should have been something different. Sounded kinda good after it was around for a while.
He disappeared though ... fell off of the face of the earth after his 3rd or 4th stripper girlfriend from what I've been told.
Long story short, he kept on with it ... bagging away trucks/cars through the mid to late 90's w/ Marco and I went on own w/ Mercedes-Benz.
Flashback to late 90's though seeing that boat and truck ... He had a bagged Astro van to pull it at first ... then a full size bagged chevy ... then the Burb.
He had done a lot of work to the tunnel dragster ...
Sorry, a little history to go along with your sale ... didn't mean to jack your thread. I've got a lot of good times w/ Pat ... and would love to track him down again.

I've known Pat Nichol for years. Last time I saw him was at Cal Truck Jam about 7 years ago. Don't know where he is today. I remember the boat from an open house at Stitchcraft many moons ago. Hope he is doing allright. The first time I saw the boat at CBBB with Brian's Dad driving it brought back memories of my hardcore truck show going days.
