Is it possible or has anyone registered a Rhino to be street legal? I was looking to register it out in Arizona. Any info would be great. Thanks,
Joe.

took us 6 hours but it got done the kept saying they needed different stuff ~we made 4 different trips to the dmv...~the will make u sign a waiver ~they dont need to c the rhino ~they will go by the book they have of what it is worth to pay the fee and u can do it for even 2 years. hubby is sleeping i tried asking him what else but he wont listen to me...lol ~well thats all i can remember hope this helps.

I am assuming you had to go to the AZ DMV 4 different times?? Is it really worth it? Are there any major advantages?

I was in and out in 40 mintues, inspection and registration. All I had was a out of state title with my name on it and the Rhino itself.

i am glad we did it~ we thought the dmv needed to c the rhino so w decided to drive to the dmv and a block away from the havi home we got stopped by 2 cops ...lol ~so the ticket would be 250 if ya get caught on the road with out it being street legal~since we were on our way to the dmv the cop let us go...i forgot my az id the needed that ~so the first trip back home was my fault after that it was the nuts who work there at the dmv...the next 3 trips back and forth were cus the title had black rhino then jeff then us so we had to get that straight and something notarized it basically sucked

It came out to about $205.00. $35.00 was the fee from Sierra title, the rest was DMV fees you would be paying there anyways. Real easy, that's the way to go. And yes, they mail you the plate & registration.

You will pay the AZ sales tax figure on what ever you paid for the Rhino.

I kinda wanna wait till after the 1st in case I end up going to Glamis for New Years. Kinda rather have the Green sticker for that weekend in case they try to hassle me. I won't be back to Havasu till after then anyways.

But from out of state you pay at 5.6% not 8.x%.

actually AZ has a book on the bluebook value of the rhino and they go by that~ then they give you 30 days to insure it~ but u can do it for 2 years which is what we did since we hate waiting at the dmv but nu walk out of there the the license in your hand whoo whoo! :) http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q71/eazykiller2006/werelegal.jpg

when I bought my rhino new I was issued a AZ plate in the mail a few weeks later. The plate didn't come with month/years stickers. But I have the plate, does this mean I'm street registered?

So if you register your Rhino in AZ, do you have to give up the CA reg and green sticker?? How does the AZ registration work in CA OHV areas??

Yes you have to give it up. You are transfering from one state to the other. And it is legal in Ca. for offroad. Although I have heard some people in Glamis have been hassled over it.

Question... I have a Michigan drivers licence and a house in LHC. If I buy a Rhino here and register it here do I need an AZ drivers licence?
Thanks, Steve
