View Full Version : First rebuild need pointers

I have 1974 american jet.18 ft. berkley pump, with a packajet 455 ho. Spun a bearing this summer and going through the engine.everything is bone stock.I bought it from the original owner.What can i do to increase performance and reliability of the jet while i have the engine out. any rebuiders you'd recomend i can ship the jet to? any advice would be appreciated. berkeley jets aren't that hard to rebuild and with all the information on this site you could do it your self and save some $$$$$ . I don't know where you are located but if you are close to Fresno, Ca i would be more than willing to help you rebuild it ( you buy the beer of course) lol... let me know if I can help.
