It's a freekin Christmas party ok!
The party I love to hate.
We have our big shindig tonight, got to get all dressed up and bump heads
with 800+ people. Three Car Dealerships of drunk people gaggling around.
Entertaining at times...yes. Consider the fact that half of them are salesman.
The only reason I hit the event up is that there's free food and prizes, the
booze you have to pay for.
This is the only time of year the owner kicks down anything big.
A cruize trip to Mexico, two 40" plazma TV's up for grabs and many other
prizes. If your lucky enough to have your raffle ticket number called.
Personally I could do without the party. A Christmas bonus instead of a big
stuffy party would be nice.
It's kind of an expected to attend event or it's frowed on. If your a company
person.
Anyone else entertained by their Holiday party?

Our company so far isn't having a party and last we heard no bonus either. One of the largest homebuilders in the country and they say they had a tough year. Whatever, up unitl last month they were telling us to bust our a$$e$ and get the homes out.
Good side is that our subs have all invited us to theirs. :) :)

First you have drinks, then you grap a plate of food, then you sit down for all
the BS, then you drink again and watch everyone dance like chickens. :D

Last year at my "holiday" party. I ended up getting a bonus and handed it back to the Pres. telling him, "you must need this more than I do".... I kept the bottle of Parton I won in the gift excahnge though. :)

due to so much diversity nowadays, we are now calling it the "end of the year party" so as not to offend. Yup, it's getting waaayy ridiculous. It's a focking Christmas party damn it! I hate that it's being called something different every year, but it's actually a really good time. Poker games, pool tourney, "break-offs" on the hardwood. It's friggin comical after the inhibitions are lost.........and all my CHRISTMAS decorations are in full force inside and out! :crossx:

table decorations that look like Angels and stuff.
And they call it a Holiday party.

We had great parties and I miss them. 700 employees, almost treated like family. Our company was voted best place to work by San Diego Business Journal. Everyone had a great time.
But then again ours was not a bunch of car salesmen :D :D :D

We are a small biz, less than 15 people, but everyone will get $200 to $500 checks, a new pair of work boots at Boot World, then whatever they want for lunch at Gorden Biersch Brewery. Then on to Dream Girls club for the rest of the day......for drinks and lap dances... :crossx:
Its not huge, but a lot better than nothing, and a fun day for everyone.

Doesn't sound like those bonuses will be lasting very long.
