This shit actually bugs me Tom. Its different being black. You might have to be black to understand. I choose not to live in Watts or Compton. I like to live or frequent areas where its actually nice. It just so happens that the nicer areas tend to be populated with more white people than say Watts or Compton. Some of these areas actually have very little or no black people in them. (Do a google search on the population of any specific city and you will see for yourself)
I know that there are white people who have never talked to a black person before, let alone live next to one, or be friends with one. I know this for a fact because some have told me, and in some areas there are no black people. I have met friends over the years that have told me things like "how come you don't talk like a black person" or "you don't sound black on the phone".
