Didn't you, like, leave forever or something?
Falling off the wagon is expected, but now you'll have to go all the way back to step 2.

Got ours hooked up yesterday too. We went with the "DIRECTV PLUS HD DVR" and you are right, it is awesome!!!! Watching the game on our 42" Panasonic and getting ready to head down to Best Buy to possibly get a 50 or 53 inch. Gonna put the 42" in the game room. The only thing I didn't like about getting the new box was have to run a second cable..

Yes. I did leave for good.
I spent a couple of hours pondering my place in life, the wonderful people I've met, and what the hell I was going to do with the extra 23.5 hours a day I gained by staying away from the forums. I was gone for about 20 minutes.

And to think, you are not even watching the full resolution of HD because DirecTV compresses there signal so much in order to fit all those HD channels. It is still better than regular NTSC, but you are missing 25% of the resolution thru DirecTV.

No, Dish has more bandwidth but still not the 19.4 Mbps required for each HD channel for full HD resolution. Dish was smart acquiring Voom, that gave them more bandwidth.

Put in my request for my HD DVR today. I have to wait 3 to 4 weeks I guess. At least thats what Directv Told me. I guess they think they are short on the DVR's. I have inside information that they might just be full of shit. Hopefully Ill get this done before Christmas.

The CSR's for DirecTV don't know left from right, try looking for one from a local store, specially a local shop that does installs for Dish and DirecTV.
