I haven't been on the forums in a while. I've been looking at building one of those, I have a slightly built 1835 and tranny w/ CV's sitting on a pallet crying to be used. The problem is I don't want to go through the hassel of registering it so I'm looking for an old bug that still has its papers to tear apart.

I dont know about California but, in Az. you can build a frame with wheels and the basic requirments like windsheild and wiper, horn, brake lights, ect. and register it at MVD with no problem. They never check the numbers on the engine and trans axle.
