This boat has a Dominator Duel impeller pump,
I am guessing they mean inducer.... I really dislike the fact that you can't see who the bidders are...

reminds me more of a sleekcraft tunnel than a placecraft.

People freak me out. This guy wants to sell something (presumably for quite a bit of money) and he takes pictures in a dark garage.

Here is another shot I got from somewhere. Looks like an older placecraft deck with the newer bottom.

The bottom looks the same as this P/C to me.

There we go, so the eclipse is ultras old mold that was a placecraft that was a ????? whats the deal with the cut outs on the outer sides? I always wondered about that. Those pics That I posted came from ebay as well, the add said placecraft, but i have never seen a bottom like that.

The cutouts went into the tunnel and had adjustment plates, kinda like trim plates it was a fast hull but easy to get loose. Ultra only made a few hundred of these for 3 years and that was it looks like someone else has the molds now!

I believe that same boat or one that looked VERY similar has been rolling around since 99 or 2000. I remember seeing it parked outside "Chillers" in Redondo Beach without motor or pump. Just interior and gauges. The way I remember it, the company (Eclipse) was basically trying to be a brokerage that would sell you whatever kind of boat you wanted from participating mfgs. You bought an "Eclipse" but they weren't too shy about admiting where the hulls were actually laid up.
My best guess on getting solid information on how they ran would be to call John at Ultra, and if he doesn't have info, perhaps Mike Harlan <sp> would. One thing is for sure, the cockpit isn't the roomiest thing on the market.
