That's for a very good friend of ours; Dave McClellan and his group have been going to the river since the 60's and became a regular by the 80's until 2004. In 2006 Dave lost his battle with cancer but his memories live on. Dave was a Drag Racer in his time racing in the T-timer Class until turning his passion to boats. We all still go to the river and stay at Red Rock and will continue in Dave’s memory.

Sorry to hear to about the loss of your friend...definitely a small world, and smaller river!

Looks like HBF's RiverDave can't hold a candle to the real RiverDave.
The one on this Web site is a jerk and the other one was the real deal.

That jerk has done more nice things for more people than I can count. I'd say the legacy of the RiverDave name is in good hands.

Based on you being the source of the compliment I'd say you just confirmed my opinion.

Sorry to hear about RiverDave the elder.
I have heard that RiverDave the younger has quit smoking......(again) So he ought to be with us for quite a while. He may look like he's in his 40's, but I think he's still pretty young. :hammerhea :D

Dave was a neighbor of mine. He lived right across the street from us and it was truly sad news hearing that he passed away. Im pretty sure he was battling cancer for about a year. He had a great family also.

Is this the same Dave McClellan that did all the NHRA announcing and TV shows?
