Whats the difference? I've never really looked a 501 over very much. I think the 500 is a little wider correct? Mine has a 390 lbs lay-up and rides perfect.

ok your testing my knowledge here http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif the 500's ride pads (the part on the bottom of the sponson that the boat rides on is narower than the 501 therefore the boat is less stable, notice the picture above where the boat is lifting the right sponson. also on this 500 the bottom of the boat in the back is not flat all the way across it is steped down in the middle causing the boat to act like it is narower in the back than it actually is. i should have prefaced this by telling you that i am only the driver and you should not take anything i say as being correct without verifying it with someone who actually knows something about boats.

030...how can you be driving that boat??? There's isn't enough pedals in that thing for you to drive...LMAO.

545, they have a dumby pedal (rightfully named) on the left side in that boat. i push it as hard as i can and the boat just does the same thing???

How does that one ride? Any problems? The boat I have is Art Nolte's old Arizona Thunder. Art and Ken put a shaped 2x4 on the bottom of the sponson to extend the ride surface out. They say it works well, I have never drivin it without it on there to say otherwise. I trust those guys for what they say so I'm leaving it.

it rides great once it sets that left sponson back down. this is the only hydro i've ever drivin' so i don't have anything to compare it too.
