Wife and daughter driving home from soccer in Tucson. Everybody's okay and we're happy the car and it's associated airbags did it's job. One bruise on my wife's knee, daughter had not a scratch, bump, nor bruise on her.

German enginnering at it's best. You get what you pay for. Had that been a small POS car the outcome would've been alot different. Even the VWs are alot safer than alot of American big cars. Just for information, what did she hit? Glad all are well...........MP

Thanks fellas.
I did just wash it. 2 hours of tender, loving care, with loads of suds and polishing going on. Oh yeah, back to the car...!:)
I agree, cars are replaceable. It's not totalled yet but we should know tomorrow or Thursday. I'm hoping it is a total loss as it looks BAD BAD BAD.
I like to car shop, so I'm getting my bitchy mood all warmed up for the dealers!:mix:

A little bondo and that car should be good-to-go.
Glad to hear everyone in the car is OK.
Sometimes the best use of a German car is to be in it when you're gonna crash. Their quality isn't the best anymore but they are safe.

glad to hear everyone is okay,
i was thinking more of the S65 v-12 twin turbo AMG.
why settle?

We would love an E55 or an S550, but I think we're going to go the SUV route (thanks TOBTEK on the BWM offer). I'm still waiting to see whether or not they total it. It's pretty jacked up with all the passenger side airbags deployed and the front completely munched or missing.
My wife was bringing my daughter home from a soccer dealio i(ODP) n Tucscum. Got off the freeway, I10, then decided to get back on by just going over the road and then back down the "on" ramp to the freeway, as she realized she was going the wrong way home and exited at the wrong exit. Missed the oncoming car right to left (white Nissan POS) and smackaroo. Impact point was the front half of her right front tire. Airbag good. Crash bad. Got a ticket, oh well, no biggie.
Believe it or not, I didn't even yell at her. Not one iota! Not even a mumble. A few hugs and smoochies and then off we went back home.
Poopie happens and well, it was our turn in the barrel.
Thanks for the kind words everyone.
