When you can only work on it on the weekends?
Well this is weekend 4.
Now the silver base goes on the deck.
We (make that my snot nose little brother)decided he wanted flames down the center of the floor.
Tomorrow we will lay out flames on the deck in a gray base coat. Then spray the cobalt blue kandy over the deck. Then a couple of coats of clear over the whole boat. Heres some pictures.

My brother and I painted ours in My garage. I have no idea how long it took but it seemed like years. The outcome was worth the sweat put in.

I can't imagine the tape and paper you went through.
There needs to be some kind of award for the most effort and best results out of a garage.
Hands down you win, wow thats incredible, awsome paint job!!! Looks fast too...

Acceptence, Thanks!! yes it took a truck load of paper and tape!! When it was all painted, I hand sanded it inside & out with wet 1500, and then again with wet 3000. Then I buffed it with 3 different compounds! I'm glutton for punishment!! Never again idea smile_sp

Hud,
Love your boat. Very nice job.
I think my brother has figured we have used over a 1/4 mile of 3/4 inch tape so far.
And I dont know how much fine-line tape.
Boatguy222,
Would love to paint your cruiser..
I am so tired. We got the flames layed out on the deck and the Cobalt blue kandy applied.
then put a couple coats of clear on it.
Next weekend we have a woman coming in to do some airbrushing and pinstripping.
After we wetsand it one time, then will apply two more coats of clear to cover the airbrushing.
I will post more pictures tomorrow.
