Cylinder deactivation "sound"

Say you put flowmaster on your new 5.3L Avalanche. Would it sound "horrible" when it deactivates to 4cyl. ?

its not 'supposed' to...i have a couple buddies at work that have a full bolt on kit by flowmaster and borla and they said it gets hella quiet when it deactivated to 4 cylindars...almost like stock, so dont worry about it sounding like a rice rocket or anything...ask your shop guy when you go get something put on and see what he says...hope this helps,
