Thanks for posting Robert. The first two pics shows someone leaving me to race myself (qualifying):supp: :D the third pic is the final round eliminations against Bryant Doolins curtis 501 Hydro. He smoked the light with a .01 reaction time to my .08 then nipped me at the finish with a 10.14 to my 10.11.that race hurt as i would of been world champ of div1 M/E class, came up short by fourteen points:( there is always next year.

When you Race IHBA with an Outboard, you run Bracket Classes??? Please, cut my some slack here, I'm OLD...

all the OBs I have seen run brackets.
a couple of Hydro OBs and Champ OBs have run in the P/E (9sec) 120mph??
the most are in the M/E class (10sec) at around 105-110mph.
a few in S/E (11sec) around 100mph
a couple in R/R (12sec or slower) around 85mph and slower...
the Baker would run great in either R/R or S/E if you want to push it harder. I would think it would need NO2 to run M/E...
I think I want to run the Ally/2.5 in R/R or S/E depending upon how consistant I can get it to run in the 1/4...

.Just for the record Jon Wright ran his hydro at this years World finals in P/E(8sec) and qualified with a detuned motor at 8.01.Vishus,have you ran off of the rope before?I dont think i would say most outboards are in the ten second class (especially non nitrous ones). Its tougher then you think especially with the nasty water at Pheonix and the air that seems to always hit corrected density of 4500+

PE (Pro Eliminator) is 8 Second Bracket, TE (Top Eliminator) is 9 Second Bracket.

I meant the majority of OB boats I see in PHX run M/E. As you are running brackets, I would assume that most boats are capable of running solidly into the nines, but run M/E t be consistant at 10.0. I have watched you run these past couple of years and you run very well. For awhile, only the Shaw brothers were running OBs on a regular basis in PHX (Lakefest), we would always see a few TX or OK boats in the World Finals.
too bad you just missed the M/E crown, was cheering for you!

Thanks Vishus, you should come by our pit and introduce yourself this April at Lakefest. The majority of outboards back east run eleven seconds and slower,my point being that it is pretty tough getting a lakeable outboard to run consistant low tens without nitrous.Ken shaws boats,at least the STV requires nitrous to run low tens.Recently he is getting the allison dialed enough where he doesnt need it.I am actually rebuilding my motor as we speak to find a little more power so when the air gets shitty at Firebird i can still run the number.IMHO I lost two final rounds this year at Firebird cause the boat slowed cause of 4000 feet plus corrected air density:cry: one win from either of these rounds woulda bought the championship,Stacie and i will be back with a vengeance

cool...
I hope to run R/R or S/E for both AZ stops next year. I will definitely stop by and introduce myself. Did you ever see the "Nuclear Fission" bassboat run? I think he was from OK, it was a 17CC bullet with a 2.5, If I remember he was running S/E and also had an Allison XR2001/2.5 running in M/E.
later,

kev, you had a great season. third pic from the top, dulin is lookin' back atcha, and that's about the time he hit his rev limiter to slow down, stayin far enough ahead to win.
we both can come up with a lot of wouldacouldashouldas for the season, but it's over, and it ain't hand grenades, so you get the plaque:D see ya!

Kevin, the boat Sid is talking about was from Oklahoma and was the 11 second class champion at one time. It was a light layup center console, no trolling motor. I was at the guys marine repair shop in Chouteau, Ok. and saw it. I don't think he is still running it. He and Dave Bostic are friends and Dave made his props.

yah, i was out there (actually, that's me on the other side of the red thing). i think that's what happens when you try to start a fuel motor when there's fuel in the cylinders? it was toxic rocket, not whiskey river, on a test pass (great test). that was the round you were up against rick, and i was tryin to keep him cool:D (lotta good that did) i felt kinda sorry for dan (corrupted), as he lost the rope, and then messed up his launch after they were outta the way. have a great holiday, and we'll see ya there!

Ron,
that's the boat, he also had someone running an XR2001 in M/E. I haven't seen him in a couple of years.
do you think the XB2002 could run an 11? or should I try to run R/R (12sec or slower....).
later man,

later man,
It could but it won't be easy if you've never raced, especially an Allison.
I'd start with 12 and see where you go from there.

thanks for the advice...
I will take it slow and see how we are doing by the time Lakefest rolls around. R\R should be a good place to see how we do. I think  we can do at least as well as that Skeeter did...
