I travel with a few Diz animators on the train every day,, and they said Diz was trying to assemble a similar op to Pixar,, but couldn't pull it off so they bought them instead.

Good news for Steve Jobs as well then, he owns some of the technology right? All the "NEXT" technology was his.

No I work for Disney. But agree that we couldn't do anything as good as Pixar in-house. Although Chicken Little was not too bad.
I think Pixar is like the old days of Disney. They tell great stories.
I am glad something worked out, just because they are such a talented studio.

I was told that a lot of Pixar people left Disney to get out of the Unhappiest Place on Earth and now they're back
Steve Jobs is a big part of the deal for Disney - they want him and his success with music sales and iPod stuff and hope to leverage it for Disney. :boxed:
