Was talking to a few guys that seemed to think that for the money on the daycruiser to just slap a wedge it since i have the split bowl since it seems that most of the time your going to the same place on your diverter. Im still in this boat pretty decent for the money and this sounds logical, i wont be able to throw the huge roosters, but i will have a smile on the face with the money i saved . . . . until i use it to feel up these two monster gas tanks !!!
So then any idea what wedge degree to start with ? ? ? Im not even sure how many different ones there are i just saw them on sell for 20 sumthing dollars at www.hi-techperformance.com

start with a 4. should work well for you. it will probly throw a 3-4 foot high tail which is what you want. it might be harder to get it out of the hole though.

You get what you pay for, a $20.00 Rooster Tail. Go the length as I did with a hydraulic place diverter a droop and a 4 degree wedge. With my setup I have 32 different settings and one of the biggest tails on the water if I choose, with just a flick off a switch. I will say that smile your talkin about will last alot longer if you do more than add a $20.00 wedge. :)

For the money I'd go manual place...less hassle...got one on my cruiser and it is slick.

Don't mean to highjack, but, I like your setup. Very nice. ;) What were your materials and any tips for someone thinking about going manual controls? Thanks in advance

Just play with the wedges, wtf do you need a roostertail for? remember what that boat was intended for? if a diverter falls out of the trees put it on, otherwise show off with the hydro.......02

A roost is not "the" desired outcome for me. I am trying to determine what's the best bang for the buck this winter. I have done a bench rebuild of my pump and have to do: closed cell floatation under cockpit and bow, rewire, gauges, foot throttle, floor in cockpit - cuddy is good to go. "Wanted" to do: check 454/rebuild heads, seats, carpet and stereo. My boat is a 25ft cruiser/children hauler/weekender/slug. I would like to be able to gain any fairly inexpensive bit to help me run dryer faster with less hp/gas. :D
