Nitro557,I have a Cole Hydro w/outboard steering and it has a 12 deg. box in it. The original 10 deg. blew up so it was replaced with a 12 deg?

when you changed it did you have to move the packing box and shaft location or did you angle the v-drive mount or the engine mount

Hey Mike, Here all along I thought I was the only one who still ran 12deg. boxes. Perhaps we can form some sort of exclusive 12deg club with secret handshake. :D

Run a 12 degree Casale in my Kurtis 500 drag boat. 8 sec hydro. no problems here. no trouble finding gear ratios for it either, have found several sets of good used stuff and reasonable prices. Motor angle is a little steep in boat but only problem with that is draining oil, so i put a drain in the front of the oil pan and use a pump to change it.

Sounds like the 12 degree boxes are the most popular and gears are easy to find....?

Nitro557,I didn't change mine, it was like that when i bought it but I will ask the previous owner what he changed? Are you looking for a v-drive? Or 12deg gears?

Hey Tom,
No, the post was aimed at the topic starter. Not the gentleman with the ski-hydro.
Do you make a 12 degree billet box?
