NOpe got it off a mopar site, those are factory appearing cars, it could have a 600 inch motor in it but has to look factory stock on the outside.

You cant have an Ls1 in an eleco, didn't come stock with it. It has to have an engine in it that appears to be of that era.

This is covered in the feb 2007 HOT ROD. The hemi is a 496 making 615hp at the wheels. It was the Buick's very first time on the drag strip.

I dont have a Ls1...I have a stock looking SBC.It gets in the 9's..I have some pics in the media center if someone could post.
Those cars are impressive though.

How big is the buick?
It doesn't say the displacement of the buick. I think it may have been 455? It was not a FAST legal car either. It was running TA Performance aftermarket heads. It engine-dyno'd at 696hp. I guess it was having troubles on the first pass, and then on the 2nd pass he yanked the wheels which surprised him enough he missed 2nd gear and shifted 1-3. Either way, that hemi beat the crap outta him. The vette is a 511, 14.3:1 compression with a .720 lift cam that somehow meets the "stock sounding" rule:hammerhea
