eliminator tunnel ??????

found a tunnel in a field, guy told me it was a 84 eliminator sport tunnel
has a merc 3.4 liter 275hp outboard on back
can not find any hin numbers on boat
looks like can take ruff water very well.paints ruff but hull is in good shape
anybody got any info on this boat by chance

There were 2 hulls they were building back then one was called 234 edge and was a 23' boat with a good ride in the rough . Speed with that motor was somewhere in the mid 70s maybe 80 . The other boat was a 20' boat much lower profile also a tunnel smaller but similar ride and speeds . You could always call Eliminator and talk to Dan or Jim they will probally remember the hull and have more info.

boat is about 22 feet.talk to the owner today who is gonna give me the pink slip with the numbers. was his sons who is now in prison and disowned.
tore into it today and found the floor to be rotten in the right rear of boat
not bad though for a freebee

Eliminator made a 21 Sport Tunnel back in the 80's. Might be one of those. Cool boat with lots of interior space. This one is for sale on S&F.

the boat I have has a much deeper tunnel than that. But has a very similar paint scheme.still trying to get the paper work with numbers to help.It is rounded in the front but is more of a mini offshore type. if that makes any since.:confused: :confused:

I have seen the boat you are talking about. Very deep hull with a rounded bow. I had a customer with one back in the late 80s with the same 3.4 Merc on it. I think there was only a few of these hulls made by Eliminator in the early 80s. Very different than the Edge. Sorry, but I do not remember what the customer thought of the ride. I do know that the 3.4s are getting very hard to get parts for!!! If you like the boat and the price is right, buy it and think about repowering.

already got it from the guy.the 3.4 is junk and you are right cannot find parts
the wife is giving me probs. with the fact I already have a project boat or two and am now looking at a superstock to purchase and race. so you may find this boat for sale shortly.I have a 200 evinrude with a jack plate that will go on there nicely. If anyone is interested let me know and I will get pics out to you and it will be a make offer type deal
