View Full Version : Cole Hydro 4 Sale

I'm selling a Blown Alcohol Cole Hydro. It's been a garage Queen since the early 90'S. I bought it two years ago, thinking I was going Racing. I took it to the River Thankgiving 2001 for a test run. Well needless to say this boat is alot faster than by brain and way out of my league. I'm sticking with my 80 MPH Flatbottom.
I don't know if there's an interest in this boat, but it has a Phaff Motor, Lenco Trans. Jerry Tolliver raced it in the late 80's so I'm told. I've got pictures, but don't now how to post. If anyone is interested I can E-mail pictures.

As far as money goes, its all in my boat. My old man has the $ now, but he's too afraid of computers to go on-line and find himself a boat, so the son has to do it.

I don't have a lot more I can tell you. It's got outboard steering, with a solid shaft all the way to the steering box. The two speed Lenco has a air shifter with the button on the steering wheel. All braided lines. Everything is Chrome, Polished or Anodized. Custome trailer with removeable tongue. Without the Engine, I want $9,000. Without the Casale V-drive and Whirlaway, I want $8,000. Without the Lenco Tranny, I want $5,000.

It does seem like I'm not giving the Motor much respect, but if I don't sell the hole package, I want to put the Motor in a Hondo Runner Bottom I'm putting together. I plan on slowing it down quiet abite and making a river racer out of it.

You could run it real soft on alki and it will still be scary fast in that flat.

Kind strange also that the boat went from one Jerry to another :D
The guy that's selling this boat seems pretty busy most of the time and is hard to catch up with wink He was last summer anyhow :D
Looks like a fairly sweet deal to me

Yeah, I got the number, gonna give him a call tomorrow. Depending on the boat and the financial side of it, there may be a Sanger flat up for sale soon. :D

I just double checked the original pics that I have of this boat... Judging from how blinding bright white the boat next to it is in the one pic it looks like the pics I have were taken on a bright sunny day in the direct sunlight!!
Maybe this is where the mystery comes in about the true color of the boat?? You can see there is if fact a very slight green "tint" to the color of the boat but for the "most" part it is bright yellow!!!
Were the pics all taken with the same camera?? Maybe that has a little something to do with it also???
