Got an itch and drove out to Havi earlier last week. It'd been a couple years since I'd been on the water so I rented a Jetboat and headed up to Topoc for lunch. Aside from having to strip down and take a dip in the freezing ass water to clear some weeds from the intake near the sandbar, I had a great time. Not a soul on the water mid week.

My back is killing me.
Another 24 months or so and we may be actively looking for a house down there. We'll be down to visit friends in Feb and get a feel for what your "winter" is like.

Hey Rick...nice pics. We dropped the boat in on Saturday just to run it since it had been sitting for 5 or 6 weeks. A bit windy but not too bad. I think I saw 4 other boats all afternoon. Stopped in the channel and had a beer and we were the only boat there....I'm hoping to recreate that same scenario in mid-may...:hammer2: :) :) Wish me luck...:skull:

I can't believe how early the crowds started on weekends this year. It seems like in years past, it never started getting crowded on weekends until Memorial Day, but this year, it seems like the crowded weekends started at the beginning of April. Hopefully, it was an anomaly.

I left BH today and was looking at the weather and it was perfect boating weather except for the 48 degrees....lol
Went out on Friday but I left the friggin' camera at home. Went out with CenCal, his wife and another friend. Had a good time and only one other boat on the water. Had a very nice weekend with good peeps, good food, some dancing and movies :)

Actually, it was short sleeve weather went we were hanging out, but I did slip the sweatshirt on when we were at speed.

we were there this weekend and the water was low..at winsor we had to drop our boat in, at the right, where the seadoos usally drop off...(the short pier:sqeyes: ) i dont like to drop off at that end~~~ it is shorter and our boat is 28 ...lucky no one was there, when i backed up...but we didnt chance going to topock...
